Our Investment Management Approach
Our approach is to review investment opportunities within a disciplined framework. Consequently, we apply a top-down method to asset allocation. The top-down approach involves macroeconomic, industry and sector analyses. Based on in-depth research, the most attractive investments, in value terms, are combined in constructing and managing the Discovery Fund portfolio. For example, the decision to invest in a particular sector will be based on our assessment of the prospects for that sector. Furthermore, the decision to invest in companies within the preferred sectors is based on our analysis of factors such as profitability, earnings growth potential, cash flow, dividend yield and management.
