What is Discovery Fund?

The Discovery Fund is a mutual fund that invests in a variety of assets such as real estate, shares and fixed income investments to achieve long-term capital growth.

The Discovery Fund is structured in such a way that buying units in the Fund, is similar to buying shares of various companies on the Stock Exchange except that, when you buy units in the Discovery Fund, you are indirectly buying into all the assets that the Fund invests in and you get one Discovery Fund certificate, instead of several share certificates.

The Discovery Fund:

• An open-ended Fund.
• Formally known as the “Equity Growth Fund”.
• Opened in January 1995.
• Listed on the NSE in April 2002.
• Invests in Equities, Fixed Income, Securities and Real Estate.
• Denominated in Naira.
• Is managed on discretionary basis.
• Minimum investment amount is N10,000 .
